Passenger fees rise, salaries frozen, projects deferred at Pearson
Pearson International has hiked passenger fees $5 as it unveils measures connected to the economic slowdown. The Greater Toronto Airports Authority said yesterday it is instituting a hiring freeze, giving airlines a 50% rebate on landing fees for new flights and hiking the airport-improvement tax to $25 a passenger.
