Inaugural "Drill Hall Commissions" open today
An artistic installation entitled "Anthropodino" by Brazilian artist Ernesto Neto is previewed at the Wade Thompson Drill Hall of Park Avenue Armory in the borough of Manhattan in New York, the U.S., May 13, 2009. The title of the artwork "anthropodino" draws upon the idea of the human body ("anthro") as a central concern. Park Avenue Armory completed in 1881 has announced the next step in its evolution as a dynamic arts institution with the launch of an annual program in which an artist will be commissioned to create a work. Ernesto Neto's work "anthropodino", the inaugural "Drill Hall Commissions" will open on May 14, 2009 and run until June 14, 2009.
