Space shuttle Atlantis begins journey home

Carried aboard a NASA 747, the space shuttle Atlantis begins its takeoff roll as it departs the NASA Dryden Flight Research Center at Edwards Air Force Base, Calif., enroute to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, beginning the last leg of STS-125, its mission to repair the Hubble space telescope, Monday, June 1, 2009.
